The Great Open Road
The great open road wants you.
You’ve been ignoring it for too long now. While you sit in your comfort zone, your couch, your office, the road hums softly outside your window.
It’s terrifying, if you think about it. You could jump on the highway or a country road and it could whisk you away to someplace you’ve never been.
You could disappear into the sunset on roads that melt into the horizon. You could watch the landscape fall away as you climb into the clouds. You could find yourself crossing the desert at night, when starlight and windblown sand swirl together like a frenzied, shaken snow globe.
This country is beautiful, and wide, and most people never see any of it.
But you should. Look at these pictures. They were all taken from inside a car or just off the side of the road, the majority of them with a simple point-and-shoot camera.
